This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Bauhaus Weaver Hand Towels that were designed by Christine Novotny for Handwoven, March April 2021, pages 50–52.

These Bauhaus inspired towels use a summer and winter weave structure.  

The beige-neutral towel evokes a calm and subtle feel while a bright turquoise towel inspires a playful aesthetic value.

Choose to weave one of each or two of each colored towel.

Our kits are packaged in a lovely organza bag, perfect for storing your project until completed and then gifting when finished.

Weave Structure: summer and winter

Yarns: 8 2 Aurora Earth Cotton

Note:  we have made yarn substitutions with our 8 2 Aurora Earth Cottons for the 8 2 cottons from the original yarns listed in the pattern.

Equipment needed: 4 shaft loom, 16 weaving width, 10 dent reed, 2 shuttles, 4-5 bobbins

Finished size:  13 x 17 each

Instructions needed: Handwoven March April 2021 from Long Thread Media.

Note: There has been a correction for the tie up in this pattern. The second treadle should be tied up to harnesses 1 and 2, NOT 1,2,4.  Click on this link for the correct tie-up.
