This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these scarves that were designed by Susan Kesler-Simpson and found in the Overshot Simply book pages 136-139.
These scarves are a modernized version of the Maltese Cross, which has been a staple of weavers for years.
You can choose from two different designs. The gold Starburst Scarf has a wonderful drape and uses a multicolored Tencel Autumn Twilight and Perle 5 2 cotton Sweet Potato. The red and white Starburst Scarf is woven with Perle 10 2 and 5 2 cottons.
Weave Structure:Â variation of Maltese Cross (overshot)
Yarns:Â Tencel, Perle 5 2 and Perle 10 2
Equipment needed:Â 4-shaft loom; 9 weaving width; 12 dent reed; 2 shuttles
Note:Â Additional small beads can be added to the fringe but are not included in this kit.
Finished Dimensions:Â 7.5 x 66 with 4 fringe
Instructions needed:  Overshot Simply by Susan Kesler-Simpson. (sold separately)
