The pick-up technique in this pattern is a 3 1 weft float variation.  There are many, many ways to achieve warp and weft floats, but this four-step variation is one of my favorites because it s easy to remember the four easy steps and you can leave the pick-up stick in place throughout the entire project. 

Choose either 24 Version or Cricket Loom Version depending on your loom size.

Weave Structure: textured weave

Yarns: Caterpillar Variegated Cotton; Organic 5 3 Cotton; Aurora Earth 8 2 100% unmercerized cotton

Equipment needed: Rigid Heddle Loom; 21” weaving width or 14” weaving width for Cricket Loom; 10 dent reed; 2 shuttles

Finished Dimensions: 17 x 23 each towel or 12 x 21 each towel for Cricket Loom
